SWOP meeting 24th November 2016

Please join us  for our SWOP AGM on the 24th November 2016  at 1pm, in Edinburgh at the Advocates Library, Assembly Close (just off the Royal Mile)

This event provides a great opportunity for networking and discussing common themes and issues in official publications.

SWOP AGM 16th November 2015 at 2pm at the National Library of Scotland

The AGM this year is will take the form of a mini seminar on the theme of  ‘Digital Access’

and include the following presentations:

Implementing a Document and Records Management (DRM)  system: An enabler of the Digital Parliament Programme. ‘As a member of the implementation team Helen Costello will take you through the challenges, outcomes and next steps of the DRM Project at the Scottish Parliament and how it seeks to respond to the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011’.

Electronic legal deposit at the National Library of Scotland.  Diane Milligan and Eilidh MacGlone will demonstrate how to access legal deposit content received by the National Library.

Digital by default:  Fiona Laing will demonstrate unrestricted access to digital Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament publications via the National Library of Scotland catalogue.

Born digital – a public librarian’s perspective:  Karen O’Brien, Edinburgh Central Library will talk about the challenges of accessing digital information.

Refreshments will be provided and time for networking followed by a short AGM meeting.

All SWOP members and interested colleagues are invited to attend so please circulate this to others in your organisations who may be interested.
