Directory highlight – Edinburgh University Library

Hannah Mateer, Collections Lifecycle Manager at University of Edinburgh Main Library has sent us an update on their OP collection.  Hahhah said:

The University of Edinburgh Library is working with the National Library of Scotland to create a unified, accessible collection of UK Parliamentary Papers within the city of Edinburgh, based at the National Library. Requests for UK Parliamentary Papers should be made to the National Library of Scotland.

Sharon Nangle, Academic Liaison Librarian at the University of St Andrews Library, has informed us of a change in location for their OP materials:

SWOP Directory – annual update

Hello all

Last call to check and update the SWOP Directory of Official Publications in Scotland before the AGM.

Many thanks to those who have already replied. Your entries are up-to-date and shiny!

Could everyone else please take a moment to look at the entry for your organisation and let me know if anything needs changed or amended? Bear in mind your entry might be in the ‘archived’ section at the bottom of the main list. It would be especially good to get those ones updated this year.

New Directory entry: Marine Scotland Science

I’d like to welcome another organisation to the SWOP Directory, Marine Scotland Science.
Library and Information Manager, Helen McGregor describes her collection as follows:

Copies of Marine Scotland Science publications, and copies of Fisheries Research Services and Fishery Board for Scotland publications (previous names of Marine Scotland Science). These include sea fisheries statistics, Marine Research, Fishery Bulletin and annual reports of the Fishery Board of Scotland.

It also includes copies of all reports published by the Marine or Freshwater Fisheries Laboratories.

Publications from other bodies are collected where there is relevance to MSS’s work. The collection is held at the Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen, with publications relating to freshwater held at the Freshwater Fisheries Laboratory near Pitlochry
