SWOP AGM 2015 – reminder – #SWOP2015

This year the SWOP AGM will take place on Monday 16th November 2015, at 2-5pm in the Board Room, NLS George IV Bridge, Edinburgh

The AGM this year is will take the form of a mini seminar on the theme of ‘Digital Access’ and include the following presentations:

  • Implementing a Document and Records Management (DRM)  system: An enabler of the Digital Parliament Programme – ‘As a member of the implementation team Helen Costello will take you through the challenges, outcomes and next steps of the DRM Project at the Scottish Parliament and how it seeks to respond to the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011’
  • Electronic legal deposit at the National Library of Scotland – Diane Milligan and Eilidh MacGlone will demonstrate how to access legal deposit content received by the National Library.
  • Digital by default. – Fiona Laing will demonstrate unrestricted access to digital Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament publications via the National Library of Scotland catalogue.
  • Born digital: a public librarian’s perspective – Karen O’Brien, Edinburgh Central Library will talk about the challenges of accessing digital information.

Refreshments will be available. There will be time for networking followed by a short AGM.
